Tournament subsidized with 1000 Euros took place under the patronage of Roman Onderka, the mayor of the statutory city of Brno and Miloš Šifalda, member of the Southern Moravian region council. This event was organised by Czech Wheelchair Tennis Union together with its marketing agency ARS Production.

In August the tennis area TC CLASSIC Brno hosted the 11th year of the international wheelchair tennis championships – SSŽ CUP 2006 (subsidy 1000 Euro). On the contrary to last year’s world top twenty players were not allowed to participate, which is a new thing in this year’s ITF rules. Thus Brno spectators had to get over the absence of not only local Miroslav Brychta, in historical terms the only winner of these tournament - but also other traditional European TOP 20. Therefore it was clear that the king of last ten tournaments will be replaced by a new successor the throne: the question was – who will that be?

The jubilee 10th year of the International Wheelchair Tennis Championship of the Czech Republic took place in Brno tennis area TC Classic - the SSZ Cup 2005. The top seeded player was Miroslav Brychta, further Jozef Felix (SVK), Niclas Larsson (SWE) and Michal Stefanu.

Brno tennis center TC Classic hosted already 9th international championship of ČR in wheelchair tennis- SSZ Cup 2004.(CS IV, 100 EUR). The tournament was patronized by the mayor of the city of Brno RNDr. Petr Duchoň and the supreme representative of the South-Moravian District Stanislav Juránek as well as the previous year.
